As a middle aged, pudgy
and balding white man I thought it is about time I make my peace with at
least some of my peers - both male and female. This set of poems
reflect my thoughts towards the women who have come of age - post-49 and
post-menopausal. Some of them are past caring about their careers
or their looks. Most of them are still filled with life and a zest
for knowledge. They have a certain Wisdom, a 'knowing' that only
post-menopausal women can have.
Many no longer care what
anybody else thinks about them: when they are sad, they are very sad; but
when these women are happy, their ecstasy can light up the world!
